Sharp analysis on this disconnect. Framing K-12 as a "distraction" from economic reform fundamentally misunderstands that education access is an economic lever in itself. The Mississippi example really highlights how basic literacy gains can shift public perception quickly. Where socilaist movements keep tripping up is treating education as downstream from redistribution rather than a parallel track that builds legitamcy.
